Linda Christofferson Appleby

I got married in 1970 and moved to Arrowwood where I went to work at Scotiabank. In 1989 we moved to Okotoks and I transfered to Scotiabank in Calgary as Operations Officer and then to Okotoks when an opening came. I got divorced in 1990. I met Rob and in 1993 we were married. I was with the bank until 1997 when we bought land near Beaverlodge, Ab and we moved. I went to work as Health Registry Tech at the Beaverlodge Hospital for 6.5 yrs and with a cut back to health care and cut hours I changed careers and went into insurance. I was insurance broker and financial service rep for three years when Rob was diagnosed with cancer. I took a couple of months of to take care of him and when he recovered and I was ready to go back to work I decided to not go back to insurance and went to work at an accountants in town. I am really enjoy doing bookkeeping for my clients and I am office administrator as well.
Rob and I am still in horses and currently have 4. Rob has a fencing company and keeps really busy in the summer. I have insisted that we take weekends off this year and hope to do some camping, trail riding and boating/fishing.
I do some stained glass work, some painting, landscaping and took interior decorating.
I can't wait to see everyone. It is going to be so great to get together and relive the past. I had a friend call me on my birthday this year and wish me happy birthday and ask me if I realized in 2 years I would be 60. She has recovered and we are still friends. LOL
