DENNIS GENE CONNOLLY PASSED AWAY AT THE RED DEER HOSPITAL, RED DEER, ALBERTA OCTOBER 2, 1997 AT THE AGE OF 45 YEARS.

DENNIS WAS BORN SEPTEMBER R 13, 1952 IN TABER, ALBERTA, THE FOURTH SON OF ALFRED AND JEAN CONNOLLY. DENNIS RECEIVED ALL OF HIS SCHOOLING IN VULCAN, AND STARTED HIS GROCERY CAREER AT THE LOCAL IGA STORE UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF CHARLIE BOUTLAND. HE LATER MOVED TO CALGARY TO WORK FOR LOBLAWS GROCERY. IN 1980 HE MOVED TO RED DEER AND WAS THE MANAGER OF THE SUPER SAM STORE THERE FOR NUMEROUS YEARS BEFORE ACQUIRING AND OPERATING RACEY COURIER.

BELOVED FATHER OF TWO DAUGHTERS SHERI CONNOLLY , STEPHANIE CONNOLLY AND SON KEVIN CONNOLLY, THEIR MOTHER BRENDA ALL OF RED DEER, MOTHER JEAN (LYALL) GRAHAM OF VULCAN, FOUR BROTHERS JIM (JEAN) OF GEORGETOWN, ONTARIO, JACK OF ECKVILLE, BOB (GALE) OF VULCAN, LARRY OF CALGARY, TWO SISTERS JANET (DOUG) CLARKE OF KINGSTON, ONTARIO, AND SUSAN GILBERT (DOUG ATKINSON) OF RED DEER, ALSO A VERY SPECIAL BROTHER-IN-LAW DARYL (KATHY) GILBERT OF RED DEER, THREE STEP SISTERS GLORIA (ORIE) HRYCYK OF NOBLEFORD, RUTH (JOHN) STUKART OF HAYS, DORRAIN (DOUG) SCHMIDT OF COALHURST, TWO STEP BROTHERS BOB (DONNA) JONES OF LETHBRIDGE, KEN (ELAINE) JONES OF OLDS, NUMEROUS AUNTS, UNCLES, NIECES, NEPHEWS AND COUSINS.

DENNIS WAS PREDECEASED BY HIS FATHER ALFRED CONNOLLY JULY 6, 1960. HIS STEP FATHER ELMER JONES IN 1990, AND A VERY SPECIAL GRAMMA CONNER IN 1979.

FUNERAL SERVICE MONDAY OCTOBER 6, 1997 AT 10:30 A.M. AT PARKLAND CHRISTIAN CHURCH, RED DEER WITH REV. DOUG BARRIE AND REV. WES MIDGETT OFFICIATING. INTERMENT VULCAN CEMETERY AT 4:00 P.M.

CASKET BEARERS ALF CONNOLLY, KEN JONES, DARYL GILBERT, WALLY VANCE, PAUL SANSOME AND BOB BELZEROWSKI.

Dennis was another one who lived down the alley from Wellman's and so I played with he and Gord in the early years. He always had a plan. And we were his recruits. We built forts, raided gardens and generally got in trouble. But what fun we had. Sandi

Charlotte Gooch (Nelson)

Dennis was a very quiet fellow. But those were the ones that were really up to mischief. He was a character too., as were many boys in our grade but he was a lot of fun to be around. Will miss you too., Charlotte.
